44th Grič Evenings: Beauty of Music in a Unique Ambience of the Upper Town
For more than four decades, summer evenings in Zagreb have been made richer and more enjoyable by the Grič Evenings.
The 44th Grič Evenings, which this year are to take place from 4 to 18 July, are a recognisable music event which attracts many lovers of classical music and excellent music making every year. This year, once again, five concerts of classical music will take place in the romantic ambience of Zagreb’s Upper Town, in the atrium of the Klovićevi dvori Gallery.
The opening of the event on 4 July will be marked by Mozart’s Requiem, performed by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and the Academic Choir Ivan Goran Kovačić, as well as first-class soloists, and conducted by Tonči Bilić. The second concert will take place on 9 July, which is when renowned French lute virtuoso Thomas Dunford will perform together with his collaborators. Two days later, on 11 July, the Ensamble Janoška will perform Vivaldi’s the Four Seasons. World famous pianist Lovro Pogorelić will give a concert on 13 July. This year’s Grič Evenings will end on 18 July with the performance of Ardemus Quartet.
The entrance to the last concert of this year’s Grič Evenings is free of charge, while tickets for the previous tickets can be bought at the following link: www.entrio.hr.
