29th Cest is d’Best: A Joy Shared

The Street Festival Cest is d’Best spreads good mood and positive energy throughout the city, which performers generously have shared with passersby for almost three decades.

The 29th International Street Festival Cest is d’Best will take place from 5 to 8 June, spreading joy, good atmosphere and contagious positive energy in squares, streets and parks of Zagreb. The programmes will take place out in the open every day from 11 until late at evening, mostly until 23. In total around 700 hours of programme will take place.

More than 650 participants from Croatia and fifteen other countries of the world are expected at this year’s event, most of which are dancers, followed by performers, musicians and around ten visual artists. The centre of the city will provide a chance to enjoy various dance and music styles, visual arts techniques and installations as well as entertaining programmes of performers.

There is a special cooperation with singers from Georgia and performers from Czech city Brno who will give a show in Zrinjevac Park, which this year hosts the main festival stage.

In addition to an eventful programme for all generations, visitors of Zrinjevac Park will find various artistic activities and workshops. There will be an organised picknick for dogs and their owners, circus workshops as well as a competition in which whoever rides their bike most slowly along a 22 metres long path, wins. In addition to some other locations in the city, a rich programme will take place on the main Ban Josip Jelačić Square, where two panel discussions will take place as well as numerous performances, dance acts and mini concerts by buskers.

Each year, citizens and visitors of Zagreb attend programmes of the street festival with a thrill, and by interacting with performers contribute to fun and spread good mood and positive energy.

All of this is a wonderful introduction to a jubilee; the 30th edition of the Street Festival Cest is d’Best which is expected to turn into a real, seven-day street party in 2026 with longer duration, more activities and participants and contagious energy.
