The Embassy of Ireland in Croatia proudly hosts Joyce and Smareglia, a special concert event marking St. Patrick’s Week, exploring the connection between James Joyce, Antonio Smareglia, Trieste, and Pula. The concert features performances of well-known arias and songs from the operas of Smareglia, the Italian-Croatian composer who was a friend and neighbour of Joyce while they both lived in Trieste.
