Whole Wide World Hostel & Bar is the Croatian winner of the HOSCAR award for 2026

The Zagreb-based Whole Wide World Hostel & Bar has once again been named the best hostel in Croatia, securing the HOSCAR award for 2026 and marking a second consecutive win after its 2025 victory.

Presented annually by Hostelworld, the world’s leading platform for hostel bookings, the HOSCAR awards are based on verified guest reviews and booking performance, making them one of the most respected recognitions in the global hostel industry. Winning the award in back-to-back years places Whole Wide World among the most consistently highly rated hostels in Europe.

The largest party hostel in Zagreb and one of the most renowned hostels in the region, Whole Wide World continues to define the city’s social hostel experience. The hostel is also part of Europe’s Famous Hostels, an association that brings together a select collection of the best hostels across Europe, with Whole Wide World being the only member from Croatia.

Beyond its award-winning accommodation, Whole Wide World is known for shaping Zagreb’s nightlife for international travelers. The hostel operates the city’s largest and most popular pub crawl, running five nights per week during season and three nights per week in the off-season, alongside beer pong tournaments, tram parties, and curated cultural activities.

Whole Wide World Hostel & Bar operates under the Senaratne Partners group, which also manages Main Square Hostel, another highly rated hostel in the heart of Zagreb. The group’s portfolio further includes Curry Bowl, the Sri Lankan restaurant that has long held the number one ranking on TripAdvisor in Zagreb.
