Zagreb Fair: Eventful Fair Programme

Recognisable fairs on trends in many aspects of life and performance taking place at the Zagreb Fair are a sign that autumn is going to bring dynamic economy.

From early October until the end of the year, the Zagreb Fair is a meeting point of economy representatives, experts and wider public. The first fair to take place is Ambienta, the 53rd International Fair of Furniture, Interior Decoration, Construction and Sustainable Energy Solutions. It will take place from 1 to 4 October with a renewed concept that steps away from a classic demonstration of individual products and showcases complete solutions that encompass furniture and design, interior and exterior decoration, sustainable construction, energy efficiency and contemporary smart home solutions. Particular attention will be given to the future of housing and connecting aesthetics, functionality and sustainability. In addition to the exhibition, there is an interesting additional programme for the experts and general public which involves conference “Construction and Investments 2026 – The Architecture of Change”, a round table Forbes Croatia “Who buys flats in Croatia today” and BravaCasa Design Awards award ceremony sponsored by magazine Brava Casa. Also, socially responsible project StanZaSutra (Apartment for Tomorrow) will continue. This year, with the help of partners, a 101 square metre turnkey apartment is given by the City of Zagreb to free use by the SOS Children's Village Croatia. It is intended for young people who are leaving alternative care to become independent. In addition to providing a home to them, in this important step in life the project also provides training on financial literacy and household management.

The 48th edition of the International Book Fair Interliber will take place from 10 to 15 November. It is the largest event dedicated to books, writers, publishing and reading. This fair is extremely popular among publishers as well as readers so it is known for large crowds and numerous customers who buy their favourite titles at discounted prices. It is where numerous encounters with writers, round tables, panel discussions and book signing take place.

This year David Szalay, 2025 Booker prize laureate for the novel “Flesh” is coming to the fair. The programme for young readers, entitled “Let Me Tell You a Story - A Fairy Tale in Our Hands”, will also take place. Through interactive workshops and storytelling sessions, it emphasizes importance of reading to children from an early age and of familiarising children with books.

The fair season at the Zagreb Fair  ends with two events taking place at the same time, from 3rd to 6th December 2026. The first is CroAGRO, the 6th International Fair of Agriculture, Agricultural Equipment and Machinery which gathers those offering equipment, machinery and innovative solutions in the field of agriculture, forestry and food industry.

The 15th edition of food industry, organic food and healthy living fairs are also taking place at the same time. This program is organized in several thematic units dedicated to home-made and ecological products, hemp and bee products, cheese assessment, a holistic approach to lifestyle and, finally, a diet in line with gluten intolerance. This year’s novelty it the project AGRO Generation which presents 20 selected young farmers from entire Croatia.
