Payment methods: Cash and cards are widely accepted; card/wallet payment in apps.
Fares: they depend on distance traveled, trip time and vehicle type. Some apps apply variable pricing based on demand.
Receipt: always ask for a receipt; R1 receipt form/company information may be requested for travel expense purposes.
Tipping advice: optional, but it is customary to leave 5–10% for good service.

Informative taxi boards have been placed at the busiest locations in the city, such as hospitals, stations, and other important points, advising passengers to familiarize themselves with taxi service prices and conditions before taking a ride.

Accessibility: vehicles with more space are available; some fleets have ramps – it is recommended to ask in advance.
