You will travel through the city's past and present, learn Zagreb's story, its myths and legends. You'll see our landmarks such as Zagreb's cathedral, the oldest pharmacy in Kamenita street, Kamenita vrata (Stone gate), the favourite market – Dolac, where you can talk to its famous sellers called 'kumice', the Upper town with the renown church of St Marko, the building of Croatian parliament, the shortest furnicular in the world – Zagreb's furnicular, Lotršćak tower. The Lower town avaits you with itsfamous monument of Ban Jelačić, and Manduševac fountain. The legend says that a beautiful girl called Manda took some water from that place to give it to a tired and thirsty soldier returning from battle – our guide will tell you how the city got its name and how it is connected to this legend.
It is time for a short coffee break at one of the numerous cafés in the city centre. After the break we head to our 'green adventure' and a stroll through Zagreb's parks - the so-called Green horseshoe or Lenuzzi's horseshoe, which consists of seven squares and a garden in the Lower town. You'll enjoy their colours and scents . We'll start our walk at Zrinjevac park where you can see the busts of some of the most important Croatian personalities, and we'll end this walk at one of the most beautiful square – Marshal Tito's square dominated by the Croatian National Theatre. Here, our stroll ends.
