A Night with Francesco Meli

The first concert of this year's festival presents a selection of famous compositions from the opera and traditional song repertoire. The program includes some of the most famous Italian arias by Donizetti, Puccini and Leoncavallo along with popular songs from Italy, Mexico and Eastern Europe, with a special emphasis on pieces with a strong melodic and lyrical character. The second part of the program continues with one of the most beautiful works composed by Nino Rota for Fellini's Amarcord, an absolute masterpiece of Italian cinema. The concert ends with the famous Brindisi from Verdi's Traviata, as a suitable and festive finale. The concert aims to offer a cross-section of famous and representative classical music and folk tradition, performed by singers and musicians.
