Like all major cities in the world, Zagreb has an airport nearby. Just 17 km from the centre, 20-25 minutes by car, the modern Zagreb Airport will offer you all the necessary facilities and services, whether you’re a local or a tourist, so your journey through our city can start and end pleasantly.

Located in the vicinity of Velika Gorica, Franjo Tuđman Airport is a centre for every renowned airline, numerous rent-a-car offices, and restaurants. It has a large and secure parking lot, which adds to your comfort and makes your stay in our city carefree. On this site you can also find important telephone numbers, e-mail and web addresses of airlines. We look forward to your arrival.

In 2013, the management of Zagreb Airport was taken over by Zagreb International Airport Jsc., following the signing of the 30-year concession agreement in the form of a public-private partnership with the Republic of Croatia. The concession agreement includes a plan to develop the airport through the construction of a new passenger terminal and the accompanying infrastructure.

The new passenger terminal is located 2.5 km from the old terminal. The construction of the new passenger terminal was completed in December 2016, and after all the required tests had been performed, it was officially opened on March 28, 2017. By the decision of the Croatian Government, the name of the airport was changed to Franjo Tuđman Airport.

Zagreb Airport is located 17 km from the city center, a 20-25 minute drive. For information about flight arrivals and departures, please call 6265-222 or visit www.zagreb-airport.hr

The Zagreb Airport bus terminal is at the Central Bus Station on Marin Držić Avenue. For more information on bus schedule, please visit www.plesoprijevoz.hr

This is our first time in Zagreb. We're really having a great time. We won't be able to see the coast, but we'll get some rest and walk around the city...

Zagreb is beautiful, but the people thrilled me the most. Everybody is so kind and outgoing. I could not wish for better hosts.

I remember Zagreb as a beautiful city, and the people I met were very nice and offered me a warm welcome. The audience was wonderful as well. Really, that concert has been like a lovely souvenir.

Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.

I like Lisinski very much. It was very intense to perform there, because people came, listened carefully and felt the music in their hearts. Lisinski is a beautiful concert hall, and I am very honored to be performing there. I have wonderful memories of my first performance in Lisinski.
