Walking with Dinosaurs – the Arena Spectacular
A new production of a spectacular show “Walking with dinosaurs” which aroused world-wide interest will be staged at Arena Zagreb from 8 March to 10 March.
This spectacle at Arena will be thoroughly enjoyed by children and adults alike. “Walking with dinosaurs” is based on the awarded BBC Television Series and was made in Australia where it had a Sydney premiere eleven years ago. Since then the show produced by Global Creatures was seen by more than nine million people in 250 countries. The Zagreb audience will have a chance to see a new production based on the latest scientific research. The viewers will be shown vivid changes to the dinosaurs, including a possible development of feathers in some species, based on the research.
A total of nine dinosaurs species are represented in the show out of a 200-million year reign of dinosaurs. The show includes Tyrannosaurus Rex, the largest predator among dinosaurs, as well as Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic, Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic era and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the impressive Cretaceous period. The largest of them was Brachiosaurus, which was eleven meters tall and seventeen meters long. The realisation of such a production lasted for a year and required a team of approximately fifty persons, including engineers, textile technicians, dinosaur skin manufacturers, artists, painters and animatronics experts.
The history of the Earth will be shown through the story about dinosaurs. It covers the splitting of the continents and a transition from the dry Triassic to the Jurassic era, which is abundant in vegetation, the creation of the oceans and the moment when the Earth was hit by an enormous comet causing the extinction of dinosaurs.
The tickets for “Walking with dinosaurs” are available at the website Eventim.hr for the price of 150 to 290 kuna.
