NextBike Croatia

Public bike sharing system.

Nextbike public bike sharing system is a healthy and environmentally friendly addition to Zagreb's and Šibenik's public transportation systems, and it also exists in more than 80 cities around the world. If you register in Zagreb or Šibenik you can use the system in all other cities at no additional cost!

In the first 15 months there have been around 5000 registered users, around 40.000 bike rentals, and the users have taken together cycled over 90.000 kilometers, which is more than two times the distance around the Equator!

As well as lessening traffic jams and parking problems, riding trains or bikes contributes to protecting and safeguarding the environment.

Nextbike stations are situated on 12 most-frequented locations in Zagreb, as well as 4 locations in Šibenik.

Bikes are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The system is based on the use of smart cards which read the mobile phone number and PIN of users, along with the place and time of rental and return of the bike.

FROM A TRAIN TO A BIKE!

On arrival at Zagreb's Main Railway Station users of suburban and other trains can continue their journey on public city bikes. This offer is also attractive to all tourists who want to explore the capital of Zagreb on bikes.

All additional information can be received at info@nextbike.com and the official website www.nextbike.hr. All news can be followed at www.facebook.com/nextbike.hr.

Jesse Eisenberg

Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.
